Why You Should Consider an Adjustable Air Mattress Bed

Are you desperately seeking a good night's sleep? Are you tired of being poked by sharp springs and waking up with aches and pains? If so, it may be a good time to consider switching to an adjustable air mattress bed. There are certainly plenty of them available on the market today. For example, the Comfortaire company makes several appealing choices which range from an economy model to a luxurious top of the line model. First, you should understand the difference between a traditional bed and an adjustable air bed.

A traditional mattress has springs, of course. Over time, even with a good mattress topper, the springs can begin poking through and causing a great deal of discomfort. Traditional spring mattresses must be turned regularly and replaced approximately every five to ten years. An air mattress, on the other hand, contains no springs. Therefore, there's no risk of being poked or prodded by uncomfortable metal. Because they are filled with air, they are easy to adjust to the level of firmness you desire. Adjustable air beds are perfect for everyone, but most beneficial for individuals suffering from back discomfort or people with special needs like pregnant women.

There are various reasons why you might want to adjust the firmness of your bed. If you suddenly experience back problems and need to dial up the firmness level of your mattress, you can easily do so without having to purchase a new one. If you want a softer mattress, it is easy to adjust it back down simply by controlling the level of air. Imagine the expense you'd go through every time you decided to change the firmness or softness of a traditional mattress. You would have to replace the entire mattress, as there is no way to adjust a traditional spring type mattress.

The adjustable air mattress bed is slightly different than your average everyday air mattress. There are air mattresses that are used for travel purposes such as camping or staying with friends or family. These air mattresses are often more affordable yet less durable for long term use than the high quality adjustable models such as those made by Comfortaire. When shopping for an air bed, one of your main considerations should be whether or not you will be using your air mattress on an occasional or daily basis.
